For practice owners
Thinking about selling your practice?
If you've spent twenty or thirty years building a bookkeeping, accounting, or tax practice, you already know the hardest part of retiring isn't the paperwork. It's the question of what happens to your clients.
These are people who trusted you with their books, their payroll, their tax returns, and in a lot of cases their family businesses. You don't want to hand them to a call center. You want to hand them to someone who will answer the phone the way you did.
That's what we do at Profit Solutions.
I'm Bruce Gordon. Over a 38-year career I've founded and grown multiple multi-million dollar businesses from a standing start, so I know what it takes to build something — and what it means to hand it over. Profit Solutions is a Florida accounting and bookkeeping firm, and we grow by taking over practices from owners who are ready to retire — and doing right by the clients they leave in our care.
Here's how we work.
We keep it quiet. Nobody hears about our conversations. Not your staff, not your clients, not your competitors. Everything stays confidential from the first phone call until the day you decide to make an announcement — if you decide to at all.
We keep it simple. No drawn-out process and no games on price. We look at your real numbers together, we agree on fair terms, and we put them in writing. Most of our deals include a transition period where you introduce us to your clients personally, so nobody feels handed off to a stranger.
We keep your clients. Our whole approach is built around retention. Your clients keep getting their books done on time, their calls returned, and their taxes filed — by a Florida firm with a real person on the other end of the line. That protects the value of what you built, and it protects your name in your town.
If you're one, three, or five years from retirement, it's worth a conversation now. The owners who get the best outcomes are the ones who start talking before they have to.
Call me directly at 352-448-0085, or email bruce@profitsolutions.com. The conversation is confidential and there's no obligation of any kind.
Respectfully,
Common questions
Will anyone find out we talked?
No. Every conversation is confidential from the first call, and we'll sign a confidentiality agreement before any detailed information changes hands. Nothing is announced to anyone until you decide it is.
What happens to my clients?
They keep getting served — books done monthly, taxes filed on time, calls returned. Transitions are done with a joint announcement and personal introductions, on a schedule we agree together, so your clients hear it from you first.
I'm not retiring for a few years. Is it too early to talk?
It's the best time to talk. Owners who start the conversation early get better terms, a smoother transition, and time to do it on their own schedule instead of under pressure.
What kind of practices are you looking for?
Bookkeeping, accounting, and tax practices with steady, recurring clients — in Florida and the Southeast. Size matters less than the quality of the client relationships.
